Our CSR aspiration is to lead sustainable community practices. This is driven by the overall EPL vision of becoming the most sustainable packaging company in the world. Aligned with seven selected UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), our CSR programs are strategically designed to contribute meaningfully to global sustainability and community development. This ensures that our efforts not only drive our business forward but also make a positive impact on the world around us.
Operating globally, EPL is resolutely dedicated to fostering a positive societal and environmental impact. Guided by purposeful approach on Plastic Waste Management, Community Welfare and Skill Development, we prioritize specific United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in our social endeavors. Our mission extends to tangibly enhance lives and the environment in the vicinity of our manufacturing units. By channeling our efforts, we aspire to catalyze a sustainable future wherein communities flourish, waste is minimized, and the holistic well-being of both people and the planet is paramount.
EPL champions plastic waste management through segregation, recycling infrastructure, and community education on the impact of plastic pollution for a greener future.
In partnership with NGOs like Project Mumbai and CACR, EPL launched Community Plastic Waste Management initiatives near our Vasind and Wada plants, educating families and schoolchildren on waste segregation. Collected plastic waste was recycled into benches and dustbins and donated back to the community, emphasizing source segregation.
We recycle our plastic waste into wood-alternative planks and donate benches to local schools. Our women’s empowerment program teaches waste management skills through Self-Help Groups and mental health awareness sessions support holistic community well-being.
