EPL Ltd. proudly announces its approval from the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi), making it the first Indian global packaging company to achieve this milestone. With 25% of its global energy derived from renewable resources, EPL is ahead in its sustainability journey. Additionally, EPL is one of just 14 companies in India from all sectors and 25 globally in the containers and packaging sector to have net-zero targets approved, giving it a competitive edge in the market and reinforcing its leadership in sustainable packaging solutions.

Target: Overall Net-Zero Target: EPL Limited commits to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across the value chain by 2050. Near-Term Targets: EPL Limited commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 55% by 2030 from a 2017 base year. EPL Limited also commits to reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services 42% by 2030 from a 2020 base year. Long-Term Targets: EPL Limited commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 90% by 2050 from a 2017 base year. EPL Limited also commits to reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions 90% 2050 from a 2020 base year.
